Deliveries

We aim to dispatch your goods within 24 hours, but at particularly busy periods this may take up to 72 hours.

Our usual turnaround time for deliveries is two to five working days. 

Orders received over the weekend (after midday on Friday) will be processed the following Monday. After that, your order is with the Post Office.

Regular small orders are despatched by second-class post. 

For your convenience, Standard Delivery does not require a signature. If you're not home when the delivery arrives, the driver will leave the parcel in a safe place. If there's no safe location, the driver will leave a card or attempt redelivery on another day.

If you haven't received your order within 2-5 working days of dispatch and haven’t received a card, please check with your local sorting office to see if they’re holding your parcel.

Larger heavier deliveries will go out via DPD.

Currently we deliver across the U.K. We don’t deliver overseas.

UK Delivery Prices

To keep things simple, there is a standard P&P charge of £3.50.

And we offer free postage on all orders above £20, so typically just two or three small books.

Our Warehouse

Books make Great Gifts have a warehouse in rural Gloucester, stocked with over 2,000 titles for you to choose from.

Only the books that are in stock today are shown on the website.

Our range changes continuously, with new titles added daily. Inevitably our bestsellers go out of stock sometimes, and usually come back into our inventory a few days later.
